I'm one of eighteen legislators who vote on the Havenbrook County budget, its laws, and the services the county runs. Most of the work is smaller than that — a culvert, a permit, a benefits claim that has stalled — and that is what my office is for.

Infrastructure That Gets Funded
A capital plan that names the culverts, bridges and water mains due for replacement, with the year and the cost beside each one.
Open Records
Agendas posted before the meeting and minutes posted after it, so a resident can follow a decision without filing a request.
Casework That Closes
Every constituent case logged, assigned and answered — and if the county cannot help, a straight answer saying so.
Serving District 7 on the County Legislature
I represent District 7 — the Town of Ellersby and the Village of Pine Hollow — on the Havenbrook County Legislature. I chair the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee, and most of what my office actually does is casework: a culvert that floods the same driveway every spring, a benefits application that has sat unanswered for five weeks, a bus route that no longer reaches the clinic.
Before taking office I spent eleven years as a water systems operator for a regional utility, and four on the Ellersby planning board. That work is why I read a capital plan the way I do — as a schedule of things that will fail if nobody funds them.
